This work deals with the psychoanalytic interpretation of trauma, with respect to the views of Carl Jung. Kalsched shows the value of Jung's insights in treating traumatized patients, and proposes revisions to Jung's theories in response to his own and other enquiries into trauma.

About the Author(s)

Donald Kalsched is a Jungian analyst in private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and a training analyst with the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts. He is the author of numerous articles in analytical psychology, and lectures widely on the subject of early trauma and its treatment.
