Overseas delivery information

We are experiencing delays with deliveries to many countries, but in most cases local services have now resumed. For more details, please consult the latest information provided by Royal Mail's International Incident Bulletin.

International Delivery

If you are ordering goods for delivery outside of the UK, please note that your consignment may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the goods reach the country of destination.

Any such charges levied in relation to customs clearance must be paid by you. It is accepted by you that Karnac Books has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance. We recommend that you check with your local customs officials or post office for more information regarding importation taxes/duties that may be applicable to your online order. You will be the importer of record and responsible for any import VAT and duty that needs to be paid. In addition, any charges for import clearance will be paid by you the customer.

How do I download my purchased eBooks?

We use a service called Glassboxx to distribute our eBooks. You can download your purchased eBooks via the Glassboxx app

You should use the Glassboxx app on your iOS or Android phone or tablet, or Windows or Mac computers to listen or read your books.

If you already have Glassboxx on your phone or tablet, go to MY BOOKS to see your new purchases.

If you don't yet have the Glassboxx app, click the relevant link below to install it, and log in with the email address used for your purchase. The audiobooks and/or eBooks you've just bought will be displayed on MY BOOKS.

How do I return incorrect or damaged goods?
If you have bought a book online and would like to return it, you can do so by returning the item to our mail order department. All you need is the book and your Karnac Books receipt. As long as it is in the condition in which it was received, we will willingly exchange it or give you a Karnac Books credit note to match the value of the book on the receipt. The value of this credit will be deducted from the value of your next order.

* If the book is damaged when you receive it, we will fully refund your credit/debit card to match the value of the book on the receipt, including the postage.

How do I return unwanted purchases?

Is your website secure?

However, any losses incurred or sustained by customers who transmit information by means of email or other internet link shall be borne solely and exclusively by that customer and in no event shall any such losses in whole or in part be borne by Confer Limited trading as Karnac Books. If you are using a public computer, you must sign out when you have finished shopping.

If you discover that goods have been ordered using your credit/debit card by someone not authorised to do so, Confer Limited trading as Karnac Books will refund to you the money it receives provided that:
(a) you inform your credit/debit card company and Karnac Books of the unauthorised purchase as soon as you discover it; and
(b) you co-operate with your credit/debit card company, Karnac Books and, if necessary, the police in relation to the unauthorised use.
