| Extra Info | : | Why do groups, organizations, and nations so often replay the same conflicts? What invisible forces shape how we see "us" and "them"? And what does it take to work with these forces, rather than be worked by them, in our organizations and societies? Over a day and a half in Vienna, Regine Scholz and Jerry Fromm from the International Dialogue Initiative (IDI), founded by Vamik Volkan to explore the psychological barriers to peaceful conflict resolution, will open up and explore these topics in the IDI’s annual in-person Workshop. Together, they will help participants to understand these powerful dynamics and to translate them into their own contexts, connecting societal dynamics to the realities of their organisations, leadership roles, and change practice. The Workshop will include lectures/discussions, personal reflection sessions, and exploration of members’ cases.
