The Social Self: Inquiries in Social Construction

Drawing on the work of Wittgenstein, Marx and Foucault (among others) this study presents various dimensions of the debate on the self, identity and subjectivity, examining the senses in which we are 'social selves' whose identities are bound up in our social and cultural environments.
