Knowledge and Authority in the Psychoanalytic Relationship

In this work, a dozen clinical theorists address the nature and impact of authority on the psychoanalytic situation, examining authority as 'rightness' (a matter of knowing) and authority as 'influence' (a way of relating), and the characterization of the analyst as one or the other or both.
