Joseph Pawson

Joseph Pawson is an integrative psychotherapist whose work brings together interpersonal and transpersonal approaches. Joe grew up in London, where early encounters with altered states of consciousness led him to Peru to explore traditional shamanic practices. There, his experiences inspired him to study herbal medicine at Westminster University, where he earned a first-class BSc. After three years in private clinical practice, he came to see the symbolic and psychological dimensions of healing as the most powerful aspect of his work. This recognition led him to train in integrative psychotherapy at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling, where he was able to develop the relational and interpersonal aspects of his work. At the heart of his practice is a trust that the unconscious intelligence latent in the psychotherapy process will unfold in its own time, given the right conditions. He works with a broad range of clients and carries out a significant portion of his practice online.
