Dr Alison Miller is a clinical psychologist working in Victoria, British Columbia, in Canada.

This training event is based on her recent book with the same title, published by Karnac Books in 2012. It is described as a practical, task oriented, instructional manual designed to help therapists provide effective treatment for survivors of these most extreme forms of child abuse and mental manipulation.

This training event is aimed at practitioners who already have experience with clients reporting ritual abuse and mind control. The material is not appropriate as an introduction to the subject.

Outline of course, with emphasis on treatment needs include:

Definitions and indicators of ritual abuse and mind control / What the abuser groups do / Indoctrination and programming / Safety stabilisation / The therapeutic relationship, engaging the internal hierarchy / Resolving the traumatic memories / Final therapy issues - guilt and shame, sexual healing, spiritual healing, integration.

Cost: £290 per person residential en-suite, £270 RAINS members.
