| Extra Info | : | A practical workshop for those with an interest in understanding how trauma is held in the body and how to integrate this knowledge into your client work. Therapists know they are missing something, and this is where Fascia has tremendous implications for our work in mental health. Today, our clients talk about emotional stress and trauma being stuck in the body, that "the body keeps score" and "the body remembers" “the body says No”. However, there isn’t much science to explain precisely where in the body, emotions and trauma are manifesting. During the workshop, we will explore: Fascia, what is it and why it matters in our work in Mental Health Fascia and the Nervous System & Vagus Nerve 3 Functions of Fascia : Interoception, Proprioception & Neuroception Practical tools and knowledge to share with clients We will look through a Neurodivergent lens and highlight the implications of this knowledge for out Neurodivergent clients This workshop is designed for both neurotypical and neurodivergent practitioners.
