| Duration | : | 9:00 am – 5:30 pm US ET |
| Extra Info | : | This 6-hour online Immersion Day helps therapists, analysts and trainees build clinical skills to support and contain anxiety in children and parents, while staying aware of their own affective responses. The day uses infant observation and play-based clinical material to ground the learning. Participants will learn to: describe and apply containment in their therapy with infants, toddlers, children, and parents and in their supervision of other child therapists; record their observations without interpreting prematurely; recognize and reflect on countertransference responses; explain key ideas about child therapy technique from Klein, Aberastury, Winnicott, Bion, and Bick; and make sense of unconscious communication in both play material and group process. The program provides opportunity for reflection and discussion. Presenters: Distinguished Guest Speaker Jeanne Magagna, PhD with Nydia Pieczanski, MD; Jill Scharff, MD; and Janine Wanlass PhD |
