| Extra Info | : | “Violation Within and By the Group: A Group-Analytic Approach to Understanding and Processing” Today’s world is characterized by increasing tensions, conflicts, and polarization. At the same time, there seems to be a growing focus on violation. Both at societal levels, by movements as Black Live matters and MeToo, as well as in organizational contexts and within individuals. How can this development be understood and worked with? In this years’ conference we focus on the exploration of violations, both within and by the group. In group analysis, we do not view violations as isolated incidents but rather as phenomena that can emerge and evolve within the group’s dynamics. The group can be both the context where violations occur and, simultaneously, the space where processing and healing can take place. During the conference, we will delve into the complex relationships and group processes that lead to violations and how group-analytic treatment can offer an in-depth understanding of these processes. We will examine how violations within a group context not only affect those directly involved but the group as a whole, as well as how violations can occur by the group as a system – in institutional, social, or organisational settings. |
