Extra Info | : | Keynote Speaker: Farhad Dalal Group Analysis has been an established and recognised therapeutic way of working with groups for fifty years. In the words of Foulkes, the founder, group analysis is “analysis of the group, by the group, including the conductor” (therapist). The idea that the "individual is permeated by the social" is a further key theme of Group Analysis along with the concept of the Social Unconscious. The conference is an opportunity both to look back and to look forward and to consider what this unique approach and its concepts have to offer in an age of social media, AI and increasing uncertainty. Group analysts, students of any group-based therapeutic approach and psychodynamic psychotherapists will find an environment where they can explore the challenges facing them in their work with like-minded people. The speakers and workshops will provide thought-provoking and stimulating input that will help sustain participants in the future. |
