Extra Info | : | With Josh Cohen, Kate Thompson & Lorna Robinson Clinical writing helps therapists process their work, refine thinking, and share insights with a wider audience. This full-day event encourages therapists to overcome common barriers to writing and begin putting pen to paper. In the morning, Josh Cohen will explore key challenges in psychoanalytic writing, including writerly voice, the balance between neutrality and subjectivity, and the ethical complexities of patient confidentiality. He’ll draw on examples from clinical texts to examine the form and tone of effective writing. In the afternoon, Kate Thompson and Lorna Robinson, editors of the Journal of Couple and Family Psychoanalysis, will lead a practical workshop. They’ll share insights into the publishing process and support participants in shaping their own ideas. With clinical vignettes, contemporary examples, and group discussion, the day is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and help participants begin crafting a vivid, publishable piece of work. |
