Event:Freud’s 4pm Session: Objective Legacy
Venue:Freud Museum London 20 Maresfield Gardens London, NW3 5SX
Date:22/05/2025
Duration:4 - 5pm BST
Extra Info:In this 4pm Session, Emilia Raczkowska will be in conversation with Georgia Powell, curator at the Jane McAdam Freud Estate and the artist Holly Stevenson to explore the life, work and legacy of Sigmund’s Great Granddaughter Jane McAdam Freud and ask why the Freud Museum is such an important home to the arts. Jane McAdam Freud ‘worked at the edges where art and psychoanalysis meet’ and she rightly embraced the Museum as familiar. Holly Stevenson is the inaugural Freud Artist Resident (F.A.R.) at the Jane McAdam Freud Estate and will exhibit Tracing the Irretraceable at the Freud Museum from 14 May to 29 June 2025. The session will explore the Museum’s legacy through objective attachments.
