Event:Understanding our Relationship with Money: New Perspectives for Therapists
Venue:Online
Date:07/11/2025
Duration:10am - 4pm GMT / 5 -11am EST
Extra Info:Speakers: Simonne Gnessen & Jeanine Connor

Money is one of the biggest causes of stress. It plays an important part in our lives, yet we rarely pay much attention to the relationship we have with it.

In this one-day workshop, Simonne Gnessen and Jeanine Connor will help us explore the hidden dynamics often at play within the complex relationship people have with money.

In the morning session Simonne Gnessen will use case studies and reflective exercises to help us gain insights to understand the unconscious meanings, emotions and beliefs that influence our attitude to money and drive behaviour.

In the afternoon session, Jeanine Connor will facilitate discussion and hold a supervisory space to explore how money shows up in – and is kept out of – the therapy room. The balance between providing a wellbeing service and running a business can be a tricky one to navigate, especially when we are aware of our clients own financial struggles in the context of the prevailing cost of living crisis.
