| Extra Info | : | With Nour Norris, Hussain Norris and Nicky Tankard This event focuses on the key role of the counsellor when working with victims and survivors of domestic abuse, alongside the importance of trauma-informed care and understanding the psychological dynamics of domestic abuse. Delegates will be better equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to support clients effectively while also safeguarding their own well-being. The event will look at the impact of domestic abuse prevention and intervention ensuring domestic abuse disclosures are not disregarded as trivial, turning a reactive ‘it’s just a domestic’ into a proactive ‘you must ask’ questions approach. The event will adopt a gender inclusive approach whilst acknowledging a larger prevalence of women are disproportionally affected by domestic abuse. |
