| Extra Info | : | The Radical Act of Re-Introducing Empowerment and Kindness into the Very Heart of Our Public Services Keynote Speaker: Prof. Russell Razzaque, Consultant Psychiatrist, Associate Medical Director, Clinical Director for Mental Health Transformation and Director of Research & Development at the UK National Health Service in North East London. Relational practice has long-existed in therapeutic communities. It was launched as a movement and manifesto at the Royal College of Psychiatrists in July 2023. It relates strongly to principles of democratic mental health and human rights. We are calling for a change of attitude: A quality relationship between providers and recipients. This needs to be demonstrated through action rather than 'fine words'. This requires input and experience of experts who have been doing it for years! |
