Extra Info:The cost of living - the impact of poverty and social deprivation on the internal world of the child
While you may hear a lot about the impact of the cost of living crisis, what are the psychological costs for the children and young people you see in your consulting rooms? We are delighted to invite you to our 45th International Psychoanalytic Child Psychotherapy Colloquium. This year’s theme will consider the complexities and implications of the cost of living crisis through a psychoanalytic lens.

Combining theory and learnings from ground-breaking clinical work, discussions will examine the internal world of children and young people facing the challenges of poverty, adversity, inequity and exclusion. The colloquium will provide a forum to hone your clinical techniques to address economic and social difficulties, and invite you to contribute to innovation in your services to better support the mental wellbeing of children and young people in the current period.

Presenters this year include Professor Peter Fonagy, Adam Goren, Sarah Kavanaugh, Dr Ferelyth Watt and Sheena Swaffield.
