Tanya Byron

Professor Tanya Byron is a clinical psychologist, specialising in working with children and adolescents, with twenty years' experience. She is also a journalist, author and broadcaster. Her TV presenting and on-screen expert credits include the BBC series Little Angels and The House of Tiny Tearaways and Bedtime Live for Channel 4. She writes a weekly column for The Times and a monthly column for Good Housekeeping and is a BBC Radio 4 presenter, contributing to a range of programmes. Collaborating with Jennfier Saunders, she co-wrote the popular BBC comedy series The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle. Tanya advises on international policy relating to children, young people, mental health and education, and is currently working in China to develop services for children, young people and their families. She is President of the teenage mental health charity Mindfull, a patron of Relate, and an ambassador of The National Family and Parenting Institute.
