Michael Pokorny

Michael Pokorny is a psychiatrist, psychoanalyst and psychotherapist who was previously in private practice in London for thirty-one years. He led the formation of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and the launch of the National Register of Psychotherapists. He has published on a number of topics including theoretical, political and ethical papers, co-authored The Handbook of Psychotherapy. He has been an editorial advisor to the British Journal of Psychotherapy since it began in 1985.
