I started this book yesterday and have just finished it. It's rare, these days, to find a book I want to finish, especially in 24 hrs. I am a semi-retired counsellor. I found that I had already been employing quite a few techniques that resembled the processes described over the years, tentatively and not always with confidence. It is reassuring and inspiring to now have before me a plan of action that is tried, tested and evidence based. As I read through and reflected on each stage my own experience in part resonated and gaps in my understanding were illuminated.

I sincerely wish that this book gets the widest distribution possible. In my opinion it's a valuable work, dealing with very complex relationship issues, yet succinctly and elegantly presented at a time when couples in the current climate need all the help they can get. The way it is laid out systematically in bite size chunks, interspersed with appropriate exercises and straightforward, well-articulated, jargon free, clarification of theory makes the book accessible to a wide audience. I will put the ideas in the book to good use in my personal and professional life.
