Extra Info:Mike Worrall read English at Oxford and trained as a person-centred therapist at Metanoia in Ealing. He works in the person-centred department at Metanoia, and teaches on the Diploma, BA and MSc courses there. He has also co-written 2 books on person-centred practice, and co-edited 2 books on person-centred approaches to supervision.

Mike is interested in what happens when ideas and practices from the world of therapy and individual growth manifest in the wider world of groups and organisations. He is also interested in the idea of rupture and repair in the therapy room.

Like any relationship, the relationship between therapist and client is susceptible to rupture. This seminar will look at how rupture is inevitable, and at how, if we are willing to embrace the process, ruptures when they occur offer the potential for repair, growth and transformation. The cost to the therapist of working with these processes will be looked at, as well as the benefits to both therapist and client.
