Event:What is Dynamic Psychotherapy? (CPD80)
Venue:Tavistock Centre
Date:09/07/2015
Duration:Start Date: 9th July
Extra Info:This is an introductory course for those with an interest in psychotherapy who wish to understand more about the nature of dynamic psychotherapy. The focus is on practice rather than theory, although theoretical issues will be addressed. Central to dynamic psychotherapy is a concern with the here-and-now patterns of interpersonal engagement between a patient and therapist. We shall consider how these patterns of relatedness are recognised, how they are interpreted and how changes grounded in therapeutic experience can have far-reaching implications for a person's emotional functioning.

The course is open to professionals and others interested in dynamic psychotherapy. We anticipate the majority of participants will be counsellors, psychiatrists, social workers, nurses and members of allied professions, but other groups may be represented. No previous experience of psychotherapy is required.

Fee £200
