Pervasive developmental disorder, or PDD, is the umbrella term used to cover the whole family of autistic spectrum disorders - including autism and Asperger syndrome. PDD covers such a wide spectrum, however, that it presents very differently from child to child. This book is written principally for parents to understand the condition, and what it means for their children if they are diagnosed with PDD or another autistic spectrum disorder. It is accessible, informative and supportive, and an excellent introduction to PDD.
