Leonard Horwitzis a Training and Supervising Analyst with the Greater Kansas City Psychoanalytic Institute. He has served as president of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and was a frequent presenter at workshops and panels. He was a major figure in pioneering the introduction of group psychotherapy at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka and served as director of that program for several years. He served for many years on the editorial boards of the International Journal of Group Psychotherapy as well as the International Journal of Applied Psychoanalysis. He has also authored Clinical Prediction in Psychotherapy and co-authored Borderline Personality Disorder: Tailoring the Treatment to the Patient.
