"This is simply the most comprehensive book ever complied on borderline personality disorder. It is a must-read for all clinicians who diagnose and treat this most difficult but rewarding group of patients."

- Allen J. Frances, M.D.

'I recommend it to clinicians not only for it clinical advice, but also for conveying healthy skepticism about the limits in our knowledge and for stressing the need for continued research, in order to increase our understanding of this complicated and challenging disturbance.'

- Andrew E. Skodol, M.D. in General Hospital Psychiatry
