"Disturbances in the Field" is a collection of articles by James Hillman, Thomas Moore, Christine Downing, Wolfgang Giegerich, Edward Casey, Ginette Paris, Greg Mogenson, Stan and Jan Marlan, Paul Kugler, Robert Romanyshyn, Patricia Miller, Glen Slater, Sophia Heller, and other leading scholars, Jungian analysts, and former students in honor of Dr. David L. Miller, Watson-Ledden Professor of Religion, Emeritus, at Syracuse University. Dr Miller served as a core faculty member at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara from 1991 until 2004. Since 1963, he has worked at the intersections of religions and mythologies, literature and literary theory, and depth psychology and theology. He was a member of the Eranos Circle from 1975 until 1988, and has lectured widely in Europe, America, and Japan for the last forty years.
