About the Author(s)

Ismond Rosen (1924-1996) was a psychoanalyst and artist. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts and the Académie Julian in Paris. He then went to London and worked at the Maudsley and the Portman Clinic, and trained, in association with Anna Freud as a psychoanalyst. Complementing his psychiatry, he did psychoanalytic research at the Hampstead Clinic and practised privately, almost to the end of his life, while continuing his prolific work as an artist.
