Karnac Books is dedicated to psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, and related subjects such as organisations, family, child, and adolescent studies. As well as our online presence, we have two retail outlets that you may visit to browse our extensive range of titles:
Our flagship store is on Finchley Road. Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 9.30am - 6pm.
Our other branch at the Tavistock Clinic is open Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm, and is only a short walk from Finchley Road and the Freud Museum. |

  Take
the Underground (Jubilee or Metropolitan lines) to Finchley
Road station.
As you come out of the station, the shop is on the other side
of the road, slightly to the right (directly opposite Waitrose).
Alternatively, bus routes 13, 82, and 113 stop outside the shop.
There is car-parking available in the streets behind Finchley
Road, some of which uses parking meters. This is a retail branch

 The
Tavistock Centre is a five storey 1960s building at the junction
of Belsize Lane and Fitzjohn's Avenue. On the corner itself
is a statue of
Sigmund Freud (1856-1939) the founder of psychoanalysis who
lived
nearby.
There is limited pay-and-display car parking in surrounding
streets and disabled parking in the Tavistock Centre staff car
park (and also, by prior arrangement, a few spaces for parents
bringing children).
The closest Underground stations are Finchley Road and Swiss
Cottage stations.
