Extra Info:This workshop is aimed at practitioners working with individuals, couples or families. It will focus on the impact that attachment styles have on forming intimate couple relationships, and how one uses attachment theory when working with couples.

- Explore the groundbreaking work of John Bowlby and categories of attachment in infancy - Examine the correspondence between infant and adult attachment security - Explore the value of attachment theory as a model for thinking about dynamics operating between partners in couple relationships - Discuss how attachment styles affect one''s choice of partner - Examine the role of therapy as a secure base for exploring the couple relationship
